Beyond Tango
Piazzolla's music is often played by classical musicians, so it is often thought of as belonging to the classical music genre. However, all of his band members were very talented improvisers. The idea of this project was to recreate those elements.
I tried to reconstruct Piazzolla's music by introducing extra improvisational parts. I wanted to express his vitality and passion for music, rather than just playing written arrangements.
Piazzollas Musik wird oft von klassischen Musikern gespielt und daher oft dem klassischen Musikgenre zugeordnet. Alle seine Bandmitglieder waren jedoch sehr begabte Improvisatoren. Die Idee dieses Projekts war es, diese Elemente nachzubilden.
Ich habe versucht, Piazzollas Musik durch die Einbeziehung improvisatorischer Parts zu rekonstruieren. Ich wollte seine Vitalität und Leidenschaft für die Musik zum Ausdruck bringen, anstatt nur schriftliche Arrangements zu spielen.
